Went and checked out Etna Furnace as it was on my list of places to visit. The road back was super muddy and riddled with puddles. I checked out the mound where the furnace was. Managed to see a cellar hole and some bricks. I heard you could see the old spillway/dam and the cellar hole for the grist mill was also nearby. I followed the canal to where it meets the river on both ends but I did not find anything. The other issue was it was extremely high tide and everything was complely flooded so I could not get close to the river. I did go up to Head of the River Church and walked around. I also went across the street to see the old baptist cemetery.
