A rare plants that for the life of me I can’t remember the name of. Don’t get old

Can anyone identify this bug?

And Jessica found this gem either laying eggs or just finished.

That is Lycopodium carolinianum Guy. Carolina Club Moss. Mostly found in sandy, acidic bogs. The leaves lying flat and prostrate on the ground are a dead giveaway. These leaves are much wider than the other clubmoss species in the pines. That plant is very immature. The stipe and strobolus will get about twice as tall or more and more shapely.
