* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values of
around 110 possible.

* WHERE...In New Jersey, Salem, Cumberland, Atlantic and Cape
May. In Maryland, Talbot and Caroline. In Delaware, Kent and
Inland Sussex.

* WHEN...From Thursday morning through Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...Extreme heat and humidity will significantly
increase the potential for heat related illnesses,
particularly for those working or participating in outdoor
activities.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Dangerously hot temperatures and humidity
may continue into the weekend.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates on this
situation. Be prepared to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-
conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives
and neighbors.

Young children and pets should never be left unattended in
vehicles under any circumstances. This is especially true during
warm or hot weather when car interiors can reach lethal
temperatures in a matter of minutes.

It does make it nice that one can much easier access places that normally one can't. Other than that it is a problem.

We need rain real bad, rivers and cedar swamps really starting to dry up.

Agree, I've been keeping an eye on a vernal pond where Pine Barrens treefrogs and some other interesting stuff breeds, and it was very close to dry on Thursday. I'm sure by now the sphagnum looks like a dried sponge. Sad.

Wish I could like that twice. I'd like to see an inch a week for the next few weeks to bring it back to normal, I just hope it doesn't swing the other way with a saturated August and then tropical storm remnants on top (what happened with Ida last year and also with Irene). But any help right now is a blessing.

Nope, it all broke up before it reached us. :( Still looks promising for Monday though, but the forecasted amount of rain has been going up and down.
