Hey Folks,

Where are your favorite places for running and biking in the Pine Barrens? Are there any "must-see" areas you'd recommend?

Best regards,

John

i was about to post a similar request for best hiking in tPB. I dont run or bike, but if you can hike, you can probably trail run.
Places i have been are listed below and i'd love advice on the best of the places i havent been

  • carranza to apple pie hill (would be good for trail running, have seen people do that)
  • Michael Huber Prairie Warbler Preserve (for running trails or sandy road, stay off red trail)
  • franlin parker presereve (probably better for running than Huber)
  • mount misery from pakim pond (batona trail goes around here)
  • atsion to quaker bridge
  • rancocas nature center

sorry if i hijacked your thread

Penn Branch trail is 19 miles, about 2 hours 15 minutes +/-. Other trails out of Batso for many alternate loops. Nice single track and some new bridges over wet areas, best early mornings in the fall, spring, winter. Mostly flat, but still can be a nice workout. Park at Batso or Quaker Bridge to catch the top of loop.
