I want to do a kayak/canoe trip through the pines with some friends within the next week or two. I've never done this before and have an ideal route that I'd like to take, but honestly I have no idea how long it would take, or if its practical at all. I wanted to launch from Hampton Furnace and end up at the Forks. I have a feeling this might be way too long of a trip, and I also don't know if there's any way to get out of Batsto Lake. Can anyone give me any information on this route, or suggest alternatives that would be enjoyable? I don't want to do a rental. Thanks all.

I second Teegate, the streams there are slow and sluggish

The other trip in the area is to put in at Atsion and come out at Pleasant Mills (the in is just past Atsion Lake, next to the old mill. The out is just before Batsto on 542. This is a long day though, the river is tight and slow at the start.

So if I was leaving a pickup vehicle down by the lake, can I go on Batsto Lake Rd all the way up to Quaker Bridge for the drop-off? Does it require a 4WD to get there?
Thanks
