Event Summary
There has been a delay with the onset of snowfall mainly along and west of I-95. This may result in lower snowfall totals by the time event is over.
High confidence for the area’s first snowfall later today and into this evening.
Winter Weather Advisories were expanded. Winter Storm Warnings remain in effect.
Mainly a snow event with mixing along the coast.
Highest accumulations south of I-195 and east of the I-95 corridor.
Most of the snow will fall this afternoon.
Elevated to significant impacts expected, especially for areas with higher snow amounts…no icing, no coastal flooding, and no damaging winds.
Tonight will turn much colder with all areas dropping below freezing. Any remaining snow or water on untreated roads, driveways, and sidewalks will likely re-freeze.
