Near Mt. Misery
Yesterday I had the opportunity to get out and do some fishing. There is a beaver pond on the Roberts Branch that I've been meaning to get to, but the banks are very swampy and it is immpossible to access the main channel even in waders, so I took the kayak out.

I'm glad I did. Beautiful. Even on a day with light rain.

Further upstream was another beaver lodge

There were alot of ducks and even a blue heron. this duck blind was located along a slight backwater area

Further upstream was very nice but eventually blowdowns made me decide to return to the beaver pond.

Generally, fishing after a rain is not good in the PB but I made out okay with about 10 catches. Here are some action photos!

On a side note: I discovered some recent (that morning) coyote tracks. This was a big yote. My boot size is 11 1/2 or 12 to put it in comparison.

Hope you enjoyed the photos. I love exploring the tributaries and little known rivers.

We always enjoy your photo's. No need to even "hope."

Looks like a place you will return to for sure.
