B&M has been making brown bread in a can for ages; a New England tradition. Good stuff, it also comes with raisins. The bread and a can of beans heated up next to the exhaust manifold makes a nice warm winter snack.

I'd try it. It looks like a good thing to keep in your bag as an emergency. Something that will satisfy hunger but doesn't need to stay cold or will get crushed in the bottom of your bag. Fighting forest fires out west I always kept a MRE in the bottom of my day pack. I was thankful to have it a couple of times.

You must have missed my original post. We used to get them when I was fighting forest fires out west.

Oh! Makes sense! I know their weren't any stumps in my desert but I bet yours might have even been hotter then mine.Mine topped out at 128
