I am down wildwood for the weekend. Went for a walk last night on the beach and found two fowler toads. I couldnt believe it i have never seen a toad on a beach before. I didnt think they could tolerate salt water but i guess they can.

They love sand they are probably living around the dunes and the back bays. You never know what you'll find by the beach. Once on vacation I found a box turtle on the beach in ocean city, md.
i was just surprised that i found a toad. i found it on a trail that runs through the dunes to the beach. i also found another one at the end of a street by the boardwalk in the light. a box turtle on the beach that must of been an exciting find. I also found a fiddler crab i think it was under the boardwalk.
