That's great! Think I'll take the kid fishing in October, I didn't really want to buy a license this year for something he might hate and only want to do for a half hour.
I have a basement full of toys that aren't used at all. Some not even opened. I prefer to get them out side even if it is for a short time. Rain doesn't even stop my 5 year old son from wanting being outside. I wouldn't see that as money wasted at all.
Doesn't need a license if he's under 16.
No, but I do! For me, the worst possible thing that can happen during fishing is actually catching a fish. I purposely use the worst lures I can find that no fish would want. A perfect fishing expedition is meeting up with my buddy (who is constantly fiddling with everything to try to catch more fish), casting for an hour, not getting a single nibble, and going home happy. I hate getting a fishing license for the goal of not catching anything.
