I was talking to some out-of-towners at River Road Clam House in Lower Bank. One of them asked me where the salt /fresh water dividing line was where you didn't need to have a NJ freshwater license. I wasn't sure and it raised another question - if you are fishing outside the freshwater license area, does that automatically mean you must have a NJ & Fed saltwater registry card? He wasn't even aware of the saltwater registry law or the possible $300 - $3000 fines.

The license boundary on the Mullica is Crowley's Landing. Upstream, freshwater license required, downstream saltwater registry required.
