Free National Forest Maps

Looks like the Forest Service is putting up their Forest Service maps up as free downloads.PDF and GEOTIFF files. I"ll be hitiing these for vacation! https://data.fs.usda.gov/geodata/rastergateway/states-regions/states.php

I had forgotten about this site and just went relooking for national Forest maps online and was directed here to my own link! Theree years old too! Thanks manumuskin! You hooked me up! Headin to vermon next year and was looking for Green Mountain NF maps

Al, there are quite a lot of Vermont maps on my site (New Hampshire too), those states have extensive open geodata resources. several topo's, LIDAR terrain, topo features overlaid on LIDAR. Of course there are also aerials.

Oh Hell yeah! I just checked your app. I had it on local and just put it on all maps and there they all are! You are the man!

You can also choose an individual state if you only want to see Vermont, for example. The new app (coming soon!) has a preference setting that lets you choose the default map menu, plus a customizable menu that you build yourself.

Are you any closer to allowing import of gpx files into the app?

Yes, gpx import/export is all working now (for waypoints only). I also created my own file format that can be customized for your needs and can import/export from MS Excel. Eveything is pretty much finished in the desktop version.

What remains is getting all the same features on small phone screens. Still hoping it can be ready by the end of October... or shortly after?
