I never take anything out of the woods that is not mine so I left the bog iron there. I did get a GPS cord though.

I went back today and was able to find the bog iron again. It had sunk into the ground and almost was completely under. The soil is soft there. This time I made the decision to remove it and will look into finding a good place for it.
