Set the game camera out. About 50 exposures, here are some of the highlights. Also, when I picked up my camera I was distrubed to find it was infested with ants. I sprayed some deet in the battery compartment but I am concerned that some might still possibly be living up in the electronics. Would rubbing alcohol be okay to use on electronics like this (to rid the ants)?

Maybe you could get a box and spray either deet or ant killer into the box and them place the camera in there and close it. It won't be harmed I suspect and it may kill them. Or you my even try an aerosol or something non lethal such as your suggestion to get them to come out.

Was this in your yard? I have to get myself one of those!

A couple of camphor balls will keep them out. It was recomended for my gate opener by the manufacturer and its full of electronics.

Nice! I love my game camera. Every time I switch out the SD card I can't wait to get home and download the images to see what I got.

My set up.

A four pointer I have been getting shots of on a trail that runs along the edge of a cedar swamp.

One of the largest Bucks I have caught on my camera.

A nice 8 pointer from a couple of years ago.

I am going to put my camera back out tomorrow over some corn.

Guy if you want to get a camera. Moultrie makes good cameras. my set up is a Moultrie D-50, it works great! $98.00 for the camera, $50.00 for the security box. Pretty cheap for a digital set up. If you want one to play with I have one you could use, only problem it is a 35mm camera.

I appreciate the offer but will try to get one soon. I see it is on sale at Cabelas for $69.

Thats cheap! I may buy one. I want to get a second digital. Most years I have two cameras out. One digital and one 35mm. My 35mm cost to much to use all the time.

I would spend the extra money on a security box.

thanks for all your suggestions. It appears the initial use of deet has gotten rid of them. I can see that it has affected the plastic alittle. I hope it still functions correctly. Nice shots, Chris.

Need any help tagging him ?

With the pictures I had on the SD card I pulled yesterday I may need help dragging him next week. I have a dozen pictures of him from noon untill last shooting light in a 4 day span. I also have a 7 pointer showing up I have never seen before.

If I do not get him during bow season I would like to get a small group together to do some small silent drives during Shotgun. I know where he hangs out. It is just a fact of getting him moving. What do you and Mike do for shotgun season?

Sounds good, maybe the last day of shotgun we could push a few areas. I have a friend/co-worker that does not hunt but he likes to push for me and sit with me sometimes when I hunt. He would go with us also. We will talk about it more when the time comes.
