All,

I am starting this thread to pass along bits of info that can be found in back issues of the Batsto Citizens Gazette. It states in them that the information can be used as long as the Gazette is given credit. From time to time I will post what I find interesting.

This article written by historian and newspaper editor J. G. Wilson where he discusses Health Spas in the pines. Take note at the end where he mentions the water at Apple Pie Hill was stored in a concrete tank. You can still see that tank today and these photo's I took will show it.

The article.

Nice photo's! I only remember it when it was filled with beer cans and bottels. What is the date of that issue of the Gazette?

You should just IMG tag those article images.

I did and they would not work. I spent 15 minutes playing with them, even putting them on my site. Then all of a sudden they did so I let it be. I will change it soon.

Here is an interesting one. Have you ever driven just above Constable Bridge and wondered what the rusted pipes were that are near the stream gaging station along the Mullica? Well, I think we all can wonder no longer. I believe this article at the bottom of the left paragraph and the top of the right one tells us the facts. Just remember this article is from 1974 so don't try to order the report :) Photo's below the article.

I bet this was built to keep track of the water levels or water table.
