Just spotted a golden eagle in Woodbury, NJ! It flew over my husbands head and landed on the chimney across the street. Sat there for for about 5 minutes then flew off. I've seen eagles in the pine barrens but never this far out in the burbs. Cheap camera didn't get a great shot but here it is.

I love how you can see his very full belly (crop) sticking out.
Awesome birds! Never saw one but I wish IT was the national bird instead of the Bald Eagle - just an overgrown fish hawk.
