Good luck or bad luck?

Hello All

I was tramping through the woods the other week and found this horseshoe being devoured by the tree. I hope it was only bad luck to the person who nailed it to the tree and not anyone who finds it! I wonder how long it's been there? My guess is twenty years.

I think that is cool when that happens. I see lots of signs in the Pines that are being absorbed by trees.
I’ve seen a couple of signs also. One is a forest fire sign in the Atsion area, the other is a watch for children sign on a little backwoods road with some ruins nearby. I think that one was in Bass River S.F.

Nice one! I bet more than 20 years.

There are two signs in the Atsion area like that which I have photo's of. One is right across the street (206) from the restaurant in Dutchtown, and the other is on the road to Hampton Furnace from 206.

How do you know it was nailed to the tree. Maybe it got there as the result of a horse having bad luck.LOL. What is neat is that you can see the oppisite, unexposed end just sticking out near the base. Cool find.
