All,
I received a PM questioning the location that Google Maps and Google Earth displays as Aserdaten, and I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this? I thought it was quite funny that for some reason Google thinks the former housing development of Carusoville is Aserdaten. How this info gets on Google is beyond me, and maybe the new feature that allows anyone to add info to Google maps is the reason for this.

Carusoville was a small development on the Webbs Mill Branch not far from Bamber Lake and Camp Columbus. According to bobpbx the residents were forced to move in the early 80’s because of contamination concerns with their septic systems. One of the residents repaired alternators on his property and was the last one to vacate, and all that is left is a paved street with curbs. Hardly the lost town of Aserdaten that Beck wrote about 70 years ago.
