I am on the NJ Transit train to this interesting park.
Located near Morristown New Jersey.
I will get off at the Stirling New Jersey station stop.
Photos later and I will see how many miles I walk today.
Temperatures are comfortable right now.

Easy to walk on.

Even grades are comfortable.

I saw different birds. Egrets and eagles and hawks.

IMG_20210520_161153.jpg

I startled them so they flew too fast for photography.

Resting now before my 4 mile walk back to the train station.
More photos later. Uploading videos to my YouTube channel.

I am still on the train going back to New York City.
And eventually Queens New York.
I think my total mileage was over 11 miles today.
Very enjoyable day and experience.
I even traveled the entire Gladstone Branch line.
I am uploading some photos to add to this thread.

Next time walk down the road a little further to the Raptor Trust. They rehabilitate injured birds of prey. As they always try to release birds when they can, the animals on exhibit always change. I especially love seeing all the different owls and the golden eagles. You never realize how big these birds are until you see them up close. It is free to enter, but they ask for a donation.

I saw the signage to the Raptor Trust.
I was behind schedule so I went to the trails.
In Autumn I will check that out. Thanks.
More photos from Thursday.

Another trip to the area on my off day. The Raptor Trust Center is currently closed.
Open for bird rescues and limited reservations.

Other places to photograph nearby in beautiful New Jersey.
Twelve miles from the Swamp and Raptor Center.

Me and the wife love Great swamp. She loves boardwalks and I love to jump off of them and wander around the swamp potentially damaging the entire ecosysytem. Some things just can't be experienced from a boardwalk.
