Also saw this fence lizard scurry away. He let me get right over him to snap a photo. I guess he figured it was too late to run, so camouflage was his best option.
Looks like Fox. However no pad prints in front of it. It could be inactive. Not a very attractive place for a Groundhog. Here's a picture of a foxhole at Forsythe from two weeks ago. It was very active.

I have more photos I didn’t post, but that looks virtually identical to what I saw. The photo I posted doesn’t do justice to the size of the holes. They’re pretty big. Probably a foot or more in diameter. I spotted three of them in about a 25 yard radius.
