Have you all seen Guys' pic of the red toad under the LOST AND FORGOTTEN topic. Looks like a spadefoot toad, too small and eyes too big to be an american toad I think. I've never seen one that red before.

Jeff,

Where is there a LOST AND FORGOTTEN topic? The toad was in a post called " Parker Preserve, a red toad, and the State Police."

Ghost towns and Forgotten places...Lost and Forgotten...whatever. If not a spadefoot, does anybody have any ideas on what it is?

Depends on where it was found. If anywhere in the pines, its a young fowlers. Even though they look exactly the same--american toads' range doesn't extend into south jersey. from monmouth county down its all fowlers and spadefoot.
