All,

I was at Hampton Furnace with Ed today, and they have burned the tall weeds again where the building locations were. Ed mentioned it was not that way last Sunday. The burn actually went along the road to the warehouse and behind it as it did the previous time.

Hey everyone, I live in Shamong...better known as Indian Mills probably. It's just off of Rt. 206 about 5 miles north of Atsion Lake so visiting the Hampton Furnace wouldn't be too dificult. I'm planning on looking for it, maybe this Saturday so if anyone could help me out finding it I would appreciate it. I searched without directions one time, but to no success. Any help on getting to it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Matt,

There are a few ways to get there depending on how you come.

Head south on 206 toward Atsion, and the dirt road just before the Atsion Ranger station on the left side is the one you want. Take that until you see the ruins of the cranberry warehouse on your right.

If you are coming from Atsion road, turn left at 206 and take the first dirt road after the Ranger Station on the right.

If you are coming down Carranza road, take the dirt road on your right just before the Juvenile boot camp. When you see the cranberry warehouse ruins in front of you at an intersection you are there.

Whats up MattMoose? I too live in Shamong, off of Forked Neck Rd, about 3 blocks from Tuckerton Rd. I've seen some ruins in the woods but never really knew what they were at the time. In the next few months we should meet up and head back there.
