This hawk has been in the area for a while, and tonight after stepping out of my car I saw it flying down the street being chased by a Mocking Bird. That bird actually attacked it pretty hard. Anyway, I was in digital zoom so it is not as clear as I would have liked.

We have quite a little population of red tails in our town Guy. I have a pair or two the nest in the surrounding blocks. Also have been hearing a pair of great horned owl call back and forth the last couple days. BTW Guy do you ever see the fox anymore, I haven't in a couple years, wondering if the coyotes flushed them out.

No, I have not viewed the fox this year. I rode my bike almost every night on Devon Ave and looked every time for it to cross in front of me as before. Nothing!

Not sure what happened to all of them. They were all from the population that was released at Tavistock CC to control the geese population. There is quite a population of coyotes along the cooper right there so maybe they chased the fox out. The fox use to be very friendly at Tavistock, often time watching you hit tee shots and occasionally trying to steal your golf ball.

I almost hit one with my bike on Devon, so there is a good posibility they got hit by a car crossing Devon, Third, Atlantic, and any other road in that area.

I wouldn't be suprised if the town secretly trapped and removed them too. People in these towns are so crazy that they probably thought they would be a threat to their safety.
