Hello all! I am a new member here.

Quick about myself... My name is Andy. I am a 30-year-old lifelong resident of Ocean County, mainly Brick Twp and Toms River. I have always been interested a bit interested in nature and the outdoors, exploring the woods where ever I lived as a child. A few years back, I became interested in the Pine Barrens and all it has to offer. I actually came upon these forums a few years ago while searching for information on some Pine Barrens Ghost Towns, but never signed up until now. While reading some of the posts this morning prior to an expedition, I decided to sign up. The folks seem friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. As a enthusiast of local history, I'll mainly be posting in the "Ghost Towns and Forgotten Places" forum, but will surely contribute to other areas as well.

Thanks!

Andy

Welcome Andy! Sometimes things here can become not so friendly but in the end we are all here for the same purpose.

What posts here interest you the most?

The ones with pics and info about towns I have yet to find interested me the most. I love looking at an open field with nothing but a few foundations and some crumbling walls (I was at Hampton and Friendship today)and thinking about what life was like there a century or more ago. I have yet to set eyes on Hermann City. I think it was one I gave up on early on, but the pics I've seen in the photo gallery here have inspired me to give it another try soon.
