Hey all,
During late april- early may i'll be taking a week long trip to the Great Basin of Oregon, in search of great basin rattlesnakes. I wanted to know if anyone has ever had problems with taking tongs/hooks in their luggage, or carry on luggage?
I am getting a tong, but debating whether or not to get a standard, or collapsable. Regular tongs (from what i heard) are more sturdy, and everyone i know that has had a collapsable, it broke. So i think i'll just get a regular, but will this be a problem in the airport??? Thanks.

I've had no problems with taking herp tools on planes. I usually use a ski bag to transport between a combination of five hooks and tongs.
