It is a nice thought, but to bring Mr Bob back to the state he was in during the early years will be pretty much impossible. Might be able to increase numbers on private lands, put public would require a huge sum of money if the path on Pine Island land is followed. They are still here, albeit in very low numbers, as they are in some southern states that also had thriving populations. It would be interesting to know where in GA the numbers are, as there are many large private planatation's managed specifically for Quail.
Looks like there may be a large scale importation of the little buzzards. According to the article, most of those already imported check out after only 10 months at the longest. Lots of 'ifs' and 'coulds' and 'evaluatings' in the article. Wonder who will be paying the tab...time will surely tell, as it always does.
