You'll have to check with Scott for the end of hunting season, but keep in mind there is no hunting on Sundays.

Deer Season will run to the end of January, Small Game will run into February. If you decide to venture out wear some blaze orange to be on the safe side. There is no hunting on Sundays in New Jersey.

There isn't, but wear blaze orange on Sundays anyway.

Wearin bright colors is a good idea, although I wear a pea coat in the winter, so what can ya do? I was told by the ranger at Atsion that last week was the one week they don't recommend anyone going out hiking so it should be fine from now on. I'm headin out on the Batona on Saturday - looks like Sunday may be a washout

Unless you walk on all fours and sport a set of antlers, you have a better chance of getting shot driving to the pines.

The Atsion and Batsto areas are in Zone 23 and the regulation set 2 covers the deer seasons for that zone.

We have vests that fit over our coats and orange hats.
