Identify

Nothing important, I am just interested in knowing what ran in front of my car. I did not see it until the last minute so I looked at my dash cam video which when moving is not the highest quality.

Do quails usually run across roads? Could it be one? A pheasant? Something else?

its hard to make out, but I agree with Bob, to me It looks like a turkey, There are a bunch of little ones like that in the woods next to my house

Anyone who watched cartoons on Saturday mornings knows that's a road runner. If you closely look in the deep grass on the left side of the road you'll also see Wile E. Coyote.
