Lots of jokes about storing oil in your bathtub, etc. today on CNBC and Bloomberg. And they say that your car's MPG rating now means "Months Per Gallon". So true. I filled my car up a month ago and have only used a little over 1/4 tank since then.
However, a number of people pointed out that the negative oil futures price has more to do with storage capacity in Cushing.
This is my first winter on natural gas heat. I miss my oil heat a little bit because it does burn hotter but I don't miss the oil bill. Of course, this warm season wasn't a good metric for calculating the savings.
