There are many kinds of Katy-Dids.That is a "True Northern KatyDid" Most of the others are quite small and a few of them sound like this True katydid only much more subdued and you have to me much closer to hear them.There are Bush katydids and meadow katydids.These ones (True) hang out mostly in trees.
