I noticed on CNN's website in the Money section that Shamong, Tabernacle and Southampton are ranked 8,9 and 10 for the least polluted towns in the USA. If you go to CNNMoney.com and look at their Best Place to Live 2005 section and look at the "Hot List" you can find it there. I don't know how to place a link, sorry. I guess that is some good info for the Pine Barrens.

TABERNACLE- Contamination from an unknown source has been found in drinking wells on Richter Road. Township officials announced this week that so far, contamination has been confirmed in five wells causing the state Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to launch an investigation.

That doesn't make much sense, that survey. Something is screwed up. Has to be. The towns east of them would be even less polluted.

It appears they knew about it for a while, and there are many others effected including Nixon's store. And dogs may be dying from it.
