Wow. If true, that would be pretty remarkable. Will have to wait and see what they are able to actually produce, the iPhone 16 is still a year away (iPhone 15 is expected to launch this fall). But there has been a lot of talk about this new "periscope" design, which allows the use of longer focal length lenses and bigger sensors. And Apple's computational photography technology is already very impressive.

So, Apple has already killed the handheld GPS and emergency satellite communicator. Now they're coming for your spotter scopes! :D (To be fair, Android phones are also getting the same kind of upgrades).
