I had to look at my calendar just to make sure the date wasn't April 1!

SIU officials last week launched a public-awareness campaign to implore anyone on the campus to watch out for deer, not approach the animals and, if a wild-eyed deer starts bounding their way, run.

BTW, my grandmother lived in a little town near there for her whole life, dying at 97 a few years ago. It's amazing that she lasted that long with packs of vicious deer roaming the streets!
