‘Jersey Grown Wood' label just won't grow

New Jersey is trying to promote local timber companies and encourage people to buy responsibly harvested wood products, but the few businesses left in the timber industry in South Jersey say regulations on tree-cutting are suffocating their trade.
The Department of Agriculture launched a "Made with Jersey Grown Wood" program in April to identify brands that log sustainable wood for people who want to buy locally sourced goods, but those same companies believe their success is hampered by other agencies' restrictions.

Good article , thanks for sharing .Obviously realize the environmental concerns , but this is a perect example of why/how the state is considered "hostile" to business. Also ,the irony this was one of So. Jersey's "original " industries.
