just a small ride down to wharton ...

I took my XT225 out for a small adventure down to Wharton State Forest ...

I waited for a friend of mine to come along ...

Went down a few sand roads and then ...

We had to stop because of this:

as you can see, my friend candy cheated since she is on 4 wheels

all in all it was a nice day to be outside :D

You were fortunate that the tree blocked your way. You see so much more on foot.

Steve

that's actually about the spot we had planned on parking anyway ... as you can see in the one shot, the trail got really narrow going thru the bog. There was no way the jeep would have made it and I wasn't too sure about it myself on the bike. we had wanted to see some of the waterbirds and motor vehicles scare them off, unfortunitly we didn't see any birds but managed to really get the bull frogs going; they didn't like us walking back that way! They made a ton of noise but managed to stay hidden from the camera.

And now you can go farther down Carranza without so many bumps. Today they finally grated Carranza so I was definately happy about that because it certainly needed it in some spots.

Well its still a little soft in certain areas so I imagine it will eventually go back to how it was, but for now its a better ride.
