I haven't used an umbrella in years, not sure if I even have one. :) We could use a good rain down here. have seen big rainstorms all around the tri-state area on radar recently, but hardly anything has fallen here. We got less than 1/4" a couple days ago. That Accuweather graphic shows the pines on the very edge of TS3 (heavy) and nothing at all.

Bring on the rain. But I'll believe it when I see it. Current NWS forecast says 80% chance of getting between .50 - .75" of rain tonight.

The NWS has a new interface to their radar imagery that's pretty nice also: http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid=dix&overlays=11101111&product=N0R&loop=no

You will also find links for other radar stations there, the regional map and national map with loops available for everything.

The thing I dislike about some sites posted here is that the images are overly processed and smoothed. I like to see the raw data, where each pixel has a meaning. If you have an Android or iOS device (or a Mac), Radarscope is a really cool app. I can sit on my porch and see exactly when a single pixel of the image crosses over my head. :)

This is what it's showing right now...

The most accurate weather predictions I have found are by the Weather Rock. Has never failed.

The one, which includes yesterday, appears to show no rain at all

The full data thru June 2 is now online (I believe it's updated at 12:30PM daily). Here's the total rainfall for the past 7 days and it shows the "donut hole" even more clearly. I am located in the lightest blue area, which received between 1/8 to 1/4 inch of rain during the last week.

And here's the data for the past month. If you like rain... move to Pennsylvania. :D
