All,
As usual Jes and I went exploring for stone markers, and this time we were searching for one that was considered a "Large Stone", so I felt the snow would not hamper the search as it has been recently.
I had never been in the particular area before, so I parked my car along the road and we headed into the woods. We soon came to a trail and since my GPS said I was heading the proper way we followed it.
Suddenly, I notice a building nestled among some trees and decided to check it out. With the snow present it made for interesting viewing. It was surrounded by holly and where the doors were located there were semi large trees growing. It had not been used in years. There were no other dwellings in the area, and I believe it is on state land. It is remote enough to be in a location that is not well traveled.
The back of the building with the "garage doors".

From there we moved on toward the stone, and it was tough going because of the massive amount of briers. I now am sporting a major cut in the side of my face.

As I expected the stone was large enough that the snow did not hide the stone. It was made from sandstone and I would consider it the second largest property marker I have found in the pines.

We then decided to check out the location that Chris (Rostriz) informed us was where an F4 had crashed near Bear Swamp Hill. (Not the Bear Swamp Hill Crash)
There is a hole at this location which Chris said was caused by the plane, but I am uncertain of this. I am not certain also that this is NOT the spot so further investigation or proof must be forthcoming.
The reason why I am uncertain is that right in the middle of the hole there are numerous trees growing, with one that appears to be older than 20 years (It crashed in 1985) You decide for yourself and comments are appreciated.

Is this tree older than 20 years?

From there I headed over to the 206 area and was unsuccessful on finding a few things because of the snow.
