Pine Barrens (NJ) versus Hockomock Swamp (MA)
As a lifetime Massachusetts resident, one thing that has always fascinated me about the Pine Barrens has been the mystery, legends and folklore associated with them. From the infamous Jersey Devil to aliens, the Barrens seems to have it all!
Curious, however, as to the parallels drawn between the Pine Barrens and another large wilderness swamp, known as the "Bridgewater Triangle" here in Massachusetts.
Here are a couple of great links to bring you up to speed:

Is it just these vast territories of wilderness that generate such myths, or is there some validity to them? There definitely seems to be some of the same reports coming out of both places.
Thoughts and opinions are welcome...
