And a damn good article too.

Interesting subject....just needs a more experienced writer to have written it.

I think that you did more that a passable job; it covers all of the points to be made. I like it.

Thank you for the kind words. I do find the thoughts in my head do not always come out well in text. If it was not for that I would have written many books by now.

Great article and really ... really ... well written; well organized, substantive, cast with concision and obvious feeling for the topic. No excuse to put off those books.

I have heard many people say, "I have a book in me, if only I could get on paper". You can write a book; you're intelligent, articulate and well organized.

"...So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself -- nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance..." FDR

That's why most people don't write a book. I realize that just because you've entertained the idea doesn't mean that you want to follow through. It's a lot of work.

There is no doubt it takes quite a bit of work, but since this is my only hobby I think I could stick it out. But what I am interested in is not "best seller" material, so I am not certain it would be worth it.

None of this stuff is best seller material, nor will anybody become rich or famous by being interested in the Pine Barrens. The research we do, and the articles we write, the photos we take, etc. is to allow future generations to see the Pine Barrens as we saw them before they're "just woods."
