Well maybe I wouldn't call it a town, but the southern portion of the Rocky Point Preserve, near Rt.25 and between Wood Lots Rd and Wading River Hollow, used to be a game farm of some sort. Must be spooky at night!:jd:
Leading up the paved narrow road, poles and wires remain.

Going further toward the end of the paved road, you come to this abandoned building. Spooky looking, litter and sofas in there. No I didn't go in, but I did take this picture from the outside.

And lastly a dense, dark stand of spruces that lie a few minutes walk beyond the building. It must have been planted a long, long time ago.

That is no Game Farm!

As a former LIer I am very familiar with the Rock Point part of the pine barrens. What you have visited is not a game farm, it is the former Nike missile silo's, which were part of the air defense system for the East Coast.
