Me and my friend started out at 9:00 A.M. on yesterday to do some Jeepin, looking for Geodetics, Stones, Markers, and Historic places. Our first stop was at Rt.70 and Rt.72 looking for a Geodetic Marker.

Arriving at the location we saw a Surveyor stowing away his equipment in his truck, after a brief chat i took the following pic. The designation is 11842.

We then got back into the Jeep and traveled East on Rt.72 to Rt.563, turning onto Rt.563 South we then traveled to Jenkins Neck looking for another Geodetic, arriving at the intersection of RT.563 and Rt.679 and after a brief search we did not find the Marker, the place where it was supposed to be had a lot of improvements to the area and IMHO i think that the Station is lost.

We then traveled to Bulltown to show him a marker that i have a photo of from a previous outing. It was then on to Crowley's Landing and here is a pic of the Mullica looking down river.

The following are two pics of the Crowleytown area where the Glassworks and the Town of Crowleytown was located. The first pic.

Then once again we traveled to the Boot Hill Gun club to looking for some more Stones and Markers. We made three finds in the area. The first pic is of a Stone that we found.

Also in the area we found the following Marker, the designation is NJ329 H.

We did not find the underground Stone located in the area. Traveling further South East we then found this Marker, the designation is NJ 318 H.

Then we wanted to go to Locke's Bridge, a place that both of us have never been to before, a place now accessible due to four wheel drive.

We then got back into the Jeep as we now wanted to view a Burlington-Atlantic County Marker that we missed last time, we tried a different direction and our trip ended abruptly by a big washout, my friend got out of the Jeep as he wanted to check the depth, he almost slid into the water, as the approach was very swampy and slippery. We then turned around to go visit our friend for some cold ones.

On the way to Tabernacle i stopped to view the progress on the Atsion Mansion and i took the following three pics. The first is of the North and West side of the Mansion.

The second pic is of the East side of the Mansion.

Then finally a pic of the South side of the Mansion.

We then left to go to our friend's house, we stayed til 9:00 P.M. and on going home we ran into a nice storm between Red Lion and Medford Circle.

All in all we found and visited some more places, found some Markers and a Stone, did some four wheelin, and the only problem was the Pine Flies around Boot Hill, another great day to be in the Pines. We also consumed two jugs of water on our trip.

I need to see the mansion for myself. The horrific cinderblock wall on the side seems to be gone, which is nice. The "new" porch looks alright -- I think it's historically correct.

I'm happy to see the crap siding gone, although I think the original siding on the building was clapboard.

The above map shows where the big washout was that put an abrupt halt to go view the B/A Marker.

If anyone is interested, on North Firelane Road and Burrs Mills Road, there is a tractor that looks like the twin brother of the one at the Boot Hill Gun Club.

Your initials are not on the data sheets for the Jenkins Survey Marker ? The last reported entry was by Omega Engineering Services in 1995.

Time to return to Jenkins and look a while longer on the next outing.

I cannot wait until the Mansion is finished whenever that might be.

Omega placed it there in 1995. I am more interested in the older ones so I did not notify them. The new ones do not have Reference or Azimuth markers.
