I caught one in WV maybe twenty years ago.It was covered with mud.I had to wash it in the crik to figure out what kind it was.I missed it the first try.It was lying along a log in the hiking trail.Well hours later on the way back as I approached the log from the back side this time I snuk up on the log and looked over it and the snake was back.This time there was no escape.My first and only Queen Snake ever.I of course released him after i gave him a well needed hygiene treatment.
