Wouldn't it be cool if one of those "Bones"/"History Detectives" shows could profile the crime, the time, the criminal, and try to answer the question: "is this really him in the grave?"

My coordinates are slightly off but they are below. It is not far off the road and the traffic is fast and there is no place to park. And there is a new home next to it. So I would be very careful to not annoy them and go on their property.

And as mentioned it is debatable if it is the right place or not.

It most likely is on private property. I was there about 3 years ago and there was a new house next to it. I was really uncomfortable there since I did not want to walk around with a house next door. I like to explore in the woods. That is not my kind of area to be in.

Guy, you are correct in that there is debate over where the site of the grave is, and this is due to the confusion of the scant historic references thereof. The site on Sweetwater/Weekstown Rd., however, is known to be a prank played by locals in 1965. The "grave" has since gotten a new stone, prolly courtesy of good ol' Wimberg.

grave site

the new stone placed there in the 60"s i dont believe is the right place.before i even found this stone i missed it and went behind it right up on top of the hill between the abandoned foundation and the occupied house, right up against their yard actually and theirs a sunken depression there with two whit marble columns(may have been one since they appear broken) with nothing written on them.I believe this is the gravesite because of it's appearance and the description of mulliner being hung on top of the hill next to the road and river.this is on top of the hill next to the road and if the river bank was bare then definitely viewable from the river.
their was a person in the back yard which was lierally 15 ft from the columns and they looked at me but never said a word or appeared to be aggravated by my presence.
on the way down the hill I found the new stone placed in the 60"s and no appearance of a grave ever having been there.
