My mom came from Cuba and I grew up listening to stories of La Chupacabra. I move here to the pines many years ago and it's the Jersey Devil. Feels like home, hehe.

Now it seems like La Chupa and Ole JD made hs way to Texas, lol...

Ah Al, boriqua??? My mother is Cuban but lived in P.R. for a long time after being a political refugee, hehe. When I was growing up I was often entertained by stories of El Chupacabra. Yes, "el". Even though the words are feminine in origin, the creature was always presumed to be male, thus the "el".

It is ironic that I wound up in the US in the only place that can boast the closest thing to El Chupa.

Looks like a rare breed of dog. Can't remember if it is from Mexico, Central America, or South America. Think it has roots in Aztec culture.

I believe the legend of El Chupacabra started in Mexico but every Latino culture has one.....
