I don't think so. You can't get many people in this country to do some of the work they do. They are an integeral part of this economy and always will be. The Mexicans in this area, not all illegal by the way, are about the hardest workers I've ever seen.

I gotta go with Tom and Sreve on this one. Having lived in Texas and South Dakota, both places where appreciable numbers of illegal aliens - mostly Mexicans and Central Americans - are significant and contributory to the economies , I think it truly immoral to cast aspersions on their desire to better themselves by working available jobs in the States.
If we want to reduce their numbers, then let your State Legislatures and your Representatives and Senators in Congress know that to stanch the flow of "illegals" into the U.S., all we need do is make the hiring of them a sufficiently onerous crime with sufficiently onerous penalties ( fines, jail time) that those hiring them will stop doing so and start hiring all the good, upstanding members of the U.S. labor pool who are clamoring for those same jobs.
And yes, as long as we do need them and hire them, they should certainly drive with benefit of a legal license and legal I.D., and their children should certainly attend our schools. It gripes my ass when a local dairyman, whose milking crews are mostly illegal mexicans, bitches about his kids having to share their school with the kids of "wetbacks."
Let's get a grip and really do what's right.
