A return trip to the Oswego this morning, August 13, with my son who led the way (as usual) across the river. I had to empty my hip waders twice but it was fun.

Whitesbog in a dinsosaur fog on August 10. I thought I heard the flapping of large, leathery wings over the reservoir.

Any attempt at resistance is futile. A 2" Argiope aurantia, yellow garden spider in my sons garden.

Sarracenia purpurea? in a bog near Batsto off Fireline Rd just above Constable Bridge. Do not know the name but it is a cool old bog.

They are interesting spiders. The first two photo's were taken in the late 1970s on the side of the now destroyed Pine Crest Gun Club which was located at the concrete slab across the tracks from the road down from Apple Pie Hill.

And this one I saw in 2012.

You have a serious filing system to call up those shots so quickly, especially scans of 40 year old slides. The 2012 shot is very creepy.
