I went once, didn't care for it. McGuire was done really well, especially like the static displays you could get up close and personal to :dance: There were crowds, but very well handled with no problems getting in or out. But its not looking very promising for it at this late date.

The McGuire Air Expo is normally a bi-annual event, but it was held in 2007 and 2008 because of Air Force Week in Philadelphia in 2008. I expect the next show will be in 2010.

Millville usually puts on a good show, but, like the rest of the country, is suffering a shortage of sponsors and was cancelled this year.

Millville had some problems combining with the vintage auto races at Thunderbolt, mostly with transport back and forth from the track to the airfield. Its still being talked about for this year, maybe in May.

From last years event;

I hadn't heard anything about May possibilities! Any weekend in particular they're talking about? That's a real busy month for me. I want to do it all!!!!

The VSCCA, the vintage car guys, will be having their vintage festival on Memorial Day weekend. They are the same group that was at the track, along with south Jersey SCCA last year for the air show. But I have seen the air show on some calendars for May 23rd, the track has nothing big scheduled then. So who knows what will happen. I go primarily for the vintage races, the airshow was a nice added bonus.

Sent a question regarding the Millvile show to the museum, the response follows. Fingers crossed they can pull it off.

" thanks for contacting the Millville Army Air Field Museum regarding our annual air show. We have not decided whether or not there will be a show this year but should have a final decision by May 1st. Possible static display in Sept or Oct over on the airport side not at the track is one idea."
