Pestletown, N.J.
Guy and I share a similar interest in finding old survey markers.
I enjoy it because I am a land surveyor and I love being in the woods as much as possible.
I know Guy loves the woods as much as I do and he has accumulated a wealth of skills in finding these markers over the years..
Me and Guy struck out on finding two markers last week and I went back today with my dog and was able to find both.
It took a while as one was submerged except for a weathered moss covered stub of concrete.
The other though, was embarassingly obvious. I don't know how we missed it last week. It sticks out of the ground about a foot.
I am attaching a photo of my dog next to the obvious one. He is licking his chops like it was edible.
I am going to post a few more in my gallery so check them out.
Nice quiet drizzle today. Good day in the woods.

I think your dog found them. It must smell like food. ;)
