I swear this is the type of stuff you only find in the pines *lol*
A couple of weeks ago, I tagged along with my husband when he returned to the housing development that he and a crew from the Magnolia Road fire company had protected during the wildfires. He had been asked by the webmaster of the company website if he could go down there, speak with some of the residents, and take photos of the recovering pines. I went, just for the chance to hike around in the pines with a camera. As I wandererd about snapping some pictures, I first came across what looked, oddly enough, like a stone table leaning on its side. I smiled to myself thinking about what possible purpose this thing could serve, and how it came to be back there. Walking along a bit deeper, I then came across what would appear to be an old foundation of somesort as well as some concrete tube looking things probably left over from the housing devlopment. I posted some pictures of my findings, you can see them at http://gallery.njpinebarrens.com/showgallery.php?cat=519. Just a little something I found interesting while hiking the pines. If you haven't seen them, I also have photos from during the forest fire that can be seen at http://gallery.njpinebarrens.com/showgallery.php/cat/517, and the aftermath of the fire found at http://gallery.njpinebarrens.com/showgallery.php?cat=524
