More smoke in the pines

The margarita(sp?) pizza was good and I never had a bad breakfast there. The fried chicken looked like it was hit by a car but it tasted fine and was only like 5 minutes away.

If it actually becomes a dispensary it’ll be interesting what happens to the home prices immediately adjacent to it.

It's not as if I was a frequent customer, but I did enjoy going there occasionally with family or friends under both managements. It wasn't gourmet fare, but I'm still sorry to see it go.

Now I'll have to find another place that serves biryani. This was my last one from Shamong Diner:

You have to go outside the Pines, but check out Amma's (my personal favorite), Coriander, or Nimit Palace, all in Voorhees. There is a high concentration of great Indian food there. Indeblue in Cherry Hill is also worth a mention.

Over a year from the last posts on the closing of the Shamong Diner and the anticipated opening of a cannabis dispensary in its place, there is no smoke, no fire, and as of yet, no dispensary opening. I took this picture today:

This does not give the appearance of a business whose opening is imminent. Several months ago, I had heard the dispensary would open last October. Checking online, there was a mention about February. Well, it's now March, and the only recent change seems to be the onslaught of entropy on the large dispensary sign.

Will the dispensary ever open, or did my biryani and soft serve ice cream die in vain? :(
